Truffle's Town is operated by TRON Technologies LLC ("Truffle's Town", "we", "us"). By downloading or playing Truffle's Town, or by using trufflestownapp.com, you agree to these terms. If you are not old enough to agree to them where you live, a parent or guardian has to agree on your behalf, and by letting you play they do.
1. What Truffle's Town is
Truffle's Town is a single-player game where you build and decorate a town on one street and get to know the animal villagers who move in. It is played on your own device. There is no multiplayer, no visiting other players' towns, and no cloud sync. The game is still in development, so features may change, be added, or be removed.
2. Who can play
Truffle's Town is made for families, and children are welcome to play it. If you are under the age at which you can agree to terms like these where you live, a parent or guardian should read them with you and agree on your behalf. We recommend a grown-up sets up any purchase controls on the device before a child plays.
3. Your game and your town
Your town is saved on your device. We do not hold a copy of it, and we cannot restore it for you. If you delete the game, change devices, lose the device, or clear the app's data, the town goes with it. Some app stores back up app data as part of their own device backup features; that is the store's feature and is covered by the store's terms, not ours.
4. Purchases are licenses, not ownership
Truffle's Town is free to download and play. It may offer optional in-app purchases. When you buy something in the game, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to use that item in the game on your account or device. You are not buying the item itself or any ownership of it, and it has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money.
Purchases are processed by the app store you downloaded the game from, and that store's terms also apply to the transaction. Prices may change. Refunds follow the applicable app store's refund policy, so refund requests go to the store rather than to us, except where the law says otherwise.
5. Our content
The game and everything in it, including its characters (such as Truffle and Buttonz), artwork, music, names, and design, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and play the game on a device you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use. These terms do not give you any right to use our names, logos, or artwork outside of normally playing the game.
Some of the artwork in Truffle's Town is produced with an AI-assisted pipeline. That does not change your obligations above or ours.
6. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the game: no copying, modifying, reverse-engineering, decompiling, or extracting the source code except where the law expressly allows it; no selling, renting, sublicensing, or redistributing it; no cheating, hacking, or using unauthorized software to alter it or gain an unfair advantage; and no using it for anything unlawful or in any way that harms us or other players.
7. Copyright and takedown
If you believe something in Truffle's Town infringes your rights, tell us and we will look into it. Our full notice-and-takedown process, including what a notice has to contain, where to send it, and how to file a counter-notice, is on the DMCA and copyright page.
8. Ending access
You can stop using Truffle's Town at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or the rights of others.
9. Disclaimers and liability
Truffle's Town is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties, and we do not warrant that the game will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of bugs. Some places do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of this may not apply to you.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the game, and our liability for any claim arising from the game is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Changes
We may update these terms as the game changes. When we do we will update the "Last updated" date above, and material changes will be noticed in the game or on trufflestownapp.com. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
